Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, [and] I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.  Jeremiah 1:5

Youth Ministry is designed to draw our young people into a closer relationship with God.  Sword equips the youth to be lights of hope to those around them and disciples to their peers. Through teaching and hands-on experience we strive to help them understand that a life in Christ requires not only a love of our Lord but a willingness to follow God’s passion and His requirements with our heart.  In Youth Ministry, we deal with the basics of Scripture, Salvation, Christian Culture, Faith and Worship.

With this, we believe in God that our teens will be on a path to develop the attitudes, skills and character traits necessary to become the leaders that God has called them to be.

Meanwhile, we set up roadblocks against bad habits that could hold them back from receiving all that the Lord has in store for them.  At Sword, we teach our young people that the Bible is a way of viewing our spiritual past and a guide in understanding the modern-day issues that teens face.

Minister Olevia Smith is the ministry staff Leader of the Youth Ministry.  Speaking responsibilities are conducted by Minister Olevia or one of the Youth Ministry Leaders: Brother Sidney Caldwell, Sister Tameka Caldwell, Sister Dominique Washington, Brother Charles Beamon or Sister Retrina Beamon.
